The following creed hangs on the wall inside the instructor's dressing room at Macomber Karate:
"I will teach this class as if it is the most important class I'll ever teach. I am patient and enthusiastic. I lead by example." Our staff is committed to not only helping our students achieve their goals, but also to helping them to see that they are all capable of more than they originally thought. Put simply: our desire is to see our students eventually surpass their instructors. The black belt is a metaphor in our school: more than just a rank or strip of cloth, the black belt remains an ideal both for our students and instructors. It is about a quest to be one's best. Consequently, each of our instructors, including our head instructor, Dave Macomber, is also a student, continuing to broaden their base of knowledge and bring back to the students of the school a constantly evolving curriculum of techniques. ![]() |
